Morton CUSD 709 is pleased to be the recipient of federal funding through Title I and Title II programming. Title 1 funding is used to support reading and enhance math instruction. Title 1 funds pay for supplemental  staff members, materials, supplies and equipment. The Title 1 plans are in place at Grundy for targeted students and schoolwide at Jefferson. Title II funding this year (14-15) is used to support an overflow classroom teacher at Lincoln Elementary (this funding can vary from year to year depending upon need and enrollment.) District Office Staff 

Superintendent's Secretary - Emily Stubbs


Emily is the school board secretary and the superintendent’s secretary. She also is responsible for the board of education policies and administrative procedures for the school district.

District Office Secetary - Carolu Kizer

Carolu is the front desk receptionist and secretary to the District Office. She oversees building rentals, substitutes, crossing guards and school volunteers.

Human Resources Coordinator - Brenda HeppardBrenda is our HR Coordinator. She handles dental, vision and health insurance as well as personnel topics ranging from new hires to retirees.

Chief Financial Officer - Barb Getz

Barb is the CFO, business manager, and treasurer for the school district. She is responsible for finances, budgeting and grant-management.

Accountant - Stephanie Siggers

Stephanie is our Accountant. She oversees payroll and other accounting tasks. Call here with any questions about your paycheck.

Payroll Bookkeeper- Clay Payne

New to our district is Clay Payne, our payroll and accounts payable bookkeeper. He is in charge of processing the payroll. â€‹He will also be processing the accounts payables, which means you will need to contact him regarding any reimbursements, medical reimbursements, bills, and invoices.

Business Office Assistant- Amy Zimmerman

Amy Zimmerman recently transferred from being the receptionist at the high school to our new business office assistant. She will be assisting with accounts payable, managing the free and reduced lunch program, managing certificates of insurance, managing elementary activity accounts, district credit cards, and many other things.
