Employee Benefits

You can find further plan and cost information by logging into Ease. Click on “Manage Benefits” and scroll down to the documents section to access the information about the plans in which you are currently enrolled. If you experience a change in your family or job status, and need to change coverage, you will need to make the changes in Ease.

Flexible Spending Accounts (Section 125 Plans) are available to full-time employees who qualify for the insurance plan. Eligible employees may use an FSA for both out-of-pocket medical expenses and child care expenses. If you have questions regarding FSA benefits, please contact Brenda Heppard at x8023.

Full-time employees who qualify for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act will be offered health insurance benefits. Full-time employees who deferred insurance at the time of employment will have the opportunity to enroll in the health benefit plan during the open enrollment period or for a qualifying event. If you have questions regarding your qualifications, please contact Brenda Heppard at x8023. We are currently fully insured through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, Blue Choice Select Network.

Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) are employer-funded group health plans from which employees are reimbursed tax-free for qualified medical expenses up to a fixed dollar amount per year. Unused amounts may be rolled over to be used in subsequent years. The employer funds and owns the arrangement. Employees who waive the district health plan are eligible for enrollment in the HRA.

Full-time employees who qualify for health insurance benefits also qualify for basic life insurance benefits. These employees receive, as a free benefit, $50,000 worth of life insurance coverage. If you have questions regarding life insurance benefits, please contact Brenda Heppard at x8023.

Eligible employees enrolled in the Morton School District health benefit plan, also receive prescription drug coverage.

Full-time employees qualify for health insurance benefits also qualify for voluntary vision and/or dental insurance, if they are interested in participating.

Full-time employees have the opportunity to enroll in the vision and dental plans during the open enrollment period or for a qualifying event.
